We were selected for a project to improve the run rate of a biopharmaceutical facility.
Bottlenecks were identified with third party software and then facility upgrades were identified to alleviate the bottlenecks. Upgrades included replacing manual hook ups with automated solutions to facilitate a higher turn around, decreasing cleaning cycle durations through efficiencies in automation and cleaning studies, and modifying existing valve manifolds to allow multiple operations to occur simultaneously.
The result of the debottlenecking study and facility upgrades increased the run rate by at least 30%.
We were contracted to perform a facility audit, followed by conceptual and detail design of a project for debottlenecking, as well as commissioning of the installed project.
